Thank you to 10B for helping create this week’s resources!

*New extended deadline for saint loo rolls* – Please send 1 student from your form down to the chapel with your saint(s), a name/form tag to be filmed and photographed for our all saints catwalk.
Good morning! We invite you to begin by making the Sign of the Cross:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
This week’s Word of the Week is Kingdom! On Sunday, we celebrated the Solemnity of Christ the King – this marks the end of our Liturgical year and the final week before Advent begins!
The Feast of Christ the King reminds us that Jesus is not a king like earthly rulers. His throne was the cross, and His crown was made of thorns. He came to serve, not to be served. His Kingdom is built on love, justice, and peace, and we are called to help build that Kingdom here on earth.
Let’s hear from 10B now, who have some exciting announcements to share about the week ahead!
As we just heard, there is so much happening this week! Here are some tasks to get done during form time to help you to celebrate your house kingdom:
Finish making your Saint Rolls – they need to be ready on Wednesday morning as the cat walk will be filmed on Wednesday during Becket Reads!
Prepare party crowns and house decorations for your New Year’s Eve Party which will be happening on Friday during form time and for our house lunchtime competitions!
Friday form – Each form will host their own “New Liturgical Year’s Eve Party” in form rooms and watch the All Saints Catwalk. Students can create party crowns and decorations throughout the week during form time. Form tutors can coordinate students to bring in a treat to share at the party if they wish to celebrate the New Liturgical of Advent which will begin on Sunday 30th.
Let us pray together…
Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe,
You showed us that true leadership is service and love.
Help us to welcome You as King in our hearts and in our school.
Teach us to build Your Kingdom here on earth by living with kindness, justice, and peace.
Bless our house communities and all who work together to make this a place of joy and belonging.
May we use our gifts to serve others and bring Your light to the world.
Christ our King, reign in our hearts today and always.
Amen.
We finish this time of prayer together, by making the Sign of the Cross…
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Good morning! We invite you to begin by making the Sign of the Cross:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Today we are going to listen to the song “Build Your Kingdom Here” as we get creative and crafty for our House Week celebrations!
This week is all about celebrating our school community and remembering that we belong to Christ’s Kingdom.
Activity 1: Party Crowns
Crowns remind us that Christ is King of our world and that we share in His royal mission each day.
As part of Kingdom Week, we invite you to make paper crowns. You will wear these crowns on Friday during form time for your form’s mini New Year’s Eve party, as we celebrate the end of the Church’s year and look forward to Advent!
When we make crowns and decorate our spaces, we’re saying:
We belong to Christ’s Kingdom, and we want to make it visible in our school community!
Activity 2: House Decorations
You are also going to make some decorations to celebrate and support your house during our house competitions this week – you could do one large poster with backing paper or make some smaller bits of decorates like bunting and posters. (We already have a Nicholas and Robert paper chain)
Make sure to include your house name on the decorations. After House Week, you can keep them for form decorations.
Once you’ve finished, bring your decorations down to the chapel. We will display them in the hall to show support for your Heads of House during competitions.
You will also be allowed to wear your party crowns and add a splash of your house colour on Friday when we will have our form’s new year’s eve parties and our final house competition – the wonderful staff talent show!

As you work on your decorations this week, add to your prayer journals:
1. How are you going to build God’s Kingdom in our school and beyond?
2. What promise will you make for the new Liturgical Year?
For example…
- I am going to donate 5 items to our Advent Appeal for Emmanuel House.
- I will get more involved in my parish by volunteering at Mass or helping with events and fundraising in Advents.
- I will try to build my trust bucket in our community—be more polite, make an extra effort to be on time, work hard, share my ideas, and ask questions more in lessons.
- I will pray for my house community each week and encourage others during competitions.
- I will make time for daily prayer during Advent and invite my family to join me.
- I will look for ways to include others who might feel left out in school activities.
Friday form prep – Each form will host their own “New Liturgical Year’s Eve Party” in form rooms and watch the All Saints Catwalk. Students can create party crowns and decorations throughout the week during form time. Form tutors can coordinate students to bring in a treat to share at the party if they wish to celebrate the New Liturgical of Advent which will begin on Sunday 30th.
Let us pray together…
Prayer for Our House Communities
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of our school community
and for the friendships we share in our house groups.
Bless each house with unity, kindness, and respect.
Help us to support one another,
celebrate our talents,
and work together for the good of all.
May our words and actions reflect Your love,
and may our houses be places of welcome and joy.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Let us finish this time of prayer together, by making the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Remember:
- Students involved in the Advent community evening (Wed 3rd Dec) need to come to the chapel at 9:05am.
- All are invited to come down to the Hall at 12:45 to show your support for our House Talent Show – bring your crowns and decorations to cheer for your house! Happy House Day, everyone!
We invite you to begin by making the Sign of the Cross:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Good morning – Happy Friday everyone, and Happy New Liturgical Year’s Eve!
On Saturday evening and Sunday morning, the Church will celebrate Mass and begin a new liturgical year – Advent is upon us!
As we come to the end of our House Kingdom Week, today is all about celebrating our house community and everything that we’ve achieved during this past liturgical year.
One of those achievements is the incredible Saint Loo Rolls you’ve been creating over the last few weeks – and we are so excited to share what everyone has been working on!
A massive thank you to all the forms who entered – you absolutely smashed it! These creations are a true celebration of what makes our school and church community so wonderful. We’re sure the saints are smiling down and praying for us!
So, without further ado, get the popcorn ready for the All Saints Catwalk…
(Make a note of your favourites for each year group, as there will be a vote after the video!)
Well done, everyone!
Now it’s time to cast your votes using our Google Form – remember, you cannot vote for your own form!

As we get ready for a new liturgical year, we invite you to:
- Play your favourite hymn or worship song
- Answer these questions with the people around you (maybe over some treats if you brought any!):
- What has been a favourite memory from this past liturgical year?
- What are you hopeful for or looking forward to in the new liturgical year?
Let us pray…
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of this past year – for the friendships we’ve made, the lessons we’ve learned, and the joy we’ve shared.
As we begin a new liturgical year, fill our hearts with hope and peace.
Help us to grow closer to You and to one another, and guide us to be people of kindness, faith, and love.
Bless our school community and all our houses today.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Let us finish this time of prayer together, by making the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
