“Change” – Whole School Resources
We are in the 31st week of Ordinary Time.
The Word of the Week is “Change”
We can use our power to change the world for the better by standing up for what we believe in and working to make a difference. We can also use our power to change the world by every day by doing ordinary things with extraordinary love.
This week’s Prayer Intentions are…
For all souls
We pray for all those who have died we pray for their souls that they be guided to heaven and be with God.
For Young People and Mental Wellbeing
We pray for young people everywhere who are feeling anxious, lonely, or uncertain about the future. May our school community be a light of hope, reminding every student that they are known, valued, and deeply loved by God.
For Families and Our Church Community
We pray for all families within our school and local parish, especially following the recent global gatherings of Church leaders focused on supporting family life. May our homes be places of love, patience, and mutual support where faith can flourish
For Pope Leo
We pray for Pope Leo as he continues his recovery following his recent surgery. May the Lord grant him strength, complete healing, and energy to shepherd God’s people.
Please keep these intentions in your prayers this week, and don’t forget to add any suggestions for prayer intentions in the comments box below.

Gather
Every prayer time begins with us gathering together.
To help us focus, you might dim the lights, light a candle if you have one, or move a cross or religious object to the front to focus on. As students are entering the room this morning, you might like to play this instrumental music to help create a calm atmosphere.
Welcome back! Before we start our prayer this morning, turn to the people around you and have a quick catch-up on what happened over half term.
Let’s take a quiet moment to center ourselves and invite God into our time together.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Our word of the week this week is “Change”
Change is a constant part of life, but it is also a deeply spiritual journey. Throughout Sacred Scripture, we are reminded that transformation is possible for everyone.
From ordinary people leaving behind their old ways to follow a new path, to profound moments of conversion like Paul on the road to Damascus, the Bible constantly shows us that we can all change. No matter where we are or what habits we want to leave behind, God’s grace gives us the power to start fresh, renew our hearts, and grow closer to Him.
Take a few minutes to watch this weeks word of the week:
To bring this theme of transformation to life, it’s time to get creative! We are making Loo Roll Saints. As it was all Saints day on Sunday. We are bringing back loo roll Saints.
- Think about it: Which saint are you going to choose to represent?
- Consider: What qualities or life changes made their story special? How can their example inspire the changes you want to make in your own life this week?
- You are going to be given plently of time to make these great! We will have a fashion show run way in a few weeks to see how has made the best loo roll Saint.
Let us pray:
As today is all souls day. We pray for those who have died.
“Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”
We end by inviting you to make the sign the cross
In the name of the Father and of Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen
Let us gather together and bring to mind those intentions on our hearts
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Yesterday, we talked about how God calls every one of us to change and grow, just like the Saints did. Today is our “Hear” Day!
To help inspire your creations for this year, we are taking a look back at last year’s incredible Loo Roll Saint Fashion Video. Watch carefully to see how simple materials were transformed into amazing reminders of holy lives, and get your creative ideas flowing!
Now that you’ve seen what’s possible, get together with your group and discuss your plan:
- Which Saint are you going to choose? (Think about a saint whose life story or personal transformation inspires you!)
- Who is going to do what job? (Design, building, detailing, writing?)
- Are you going to write a prayer to go along with it?
- Is there a backstory to why you have chosen this saint?
Let us pray:
Lord God, source of all creativity and growth, thank You for the inspiring examples of the saints who allowed Your love to change their lives. As we plan and work together today, grant us teamwork, imagination, and joyful hearts. May our creations remind us of the unique holiness You call each of us to live out.
Amen.
Let us finish by remembering God is with us throughout this day by inviting you to make the sign the cross…
In the name of the Father and of Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen

Today to help you with your creation we are going to think about who are Saints and what do they do?
Watch some of the youtube shorts below.
Let us prayer

When we are lost or in need of help remind us to ask for prayer.
Lord you give us the example of Holy men and women. Help us to live lifes to give glory to you.

Welcome to our Do Day! Today is all about putting our faith and creativity into action as we bring our Loo Roll Saints to life.
Now it’s time to get making! Work together with your group, use your assigned roles, and transform your materials into your chosen saint.
Remember the big theme of this week: Change. Just like a simple toilet roll can be transformed into something inspiring, God takes each of us just as we are and transforms us into saints through His grace.
As you design, paint, wrap, and write, press play below and listen to our podcast reflection in the background:
Creator God, thank You for the gift of creativity and the joy of working together. As we look at the saints we have crafted today, remind us that You are constantly at work in us, shaping us to be more loving, patient, and kind. Help us to embrace the changes You call us to make every single day.
Amen.
In the name of the Father and of Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen
