“Celebration!”
This week’s Prayer Intentions are…

On Friday 24th July we will have our end of year celebrations which is always a joyful and positive celebration of the year we have had! Please see upcoming emails from Ruth and Joe (or see the “do” tab for instructions for Liturgy prep – we would like every form to contribute something for our final COTW!) and see emails from Mr Udoh regarding timings and details for students.
Staff – If you have ran any house competitions this term that we might not have the placings for, please can you send us the results by Friday 17th July so that we can include them in the end of year totals and celebration.
It’s been a wonderful year for the houses, we’re excited to see the final totals on the last day!

The word of the week is Celebration! We have so much to celebrate from our academic year which is quickly coming to an end! This week, we want positive vibes throughout the school, and grateful hearts, as we celebrate all of the amazing achievements and encounters we have had this year!
Last week, some of our 6th formers joined the rest of the Nottingham Diocese on pilgrimage in Lourdes. We had an incredible week and our 6th formers worked incredibly hard! We are so proud of everything they achieved whilst in Lourdes and we want to celebrate this with you this morning…

House Competition – End of year anthem!
As we reach the end of another school year, we take time to look back on all that we have experienced and achieved together together. There have been times of success and challenge, times of laughter and learning, and moments that have helped shape us into the people we are today.
Every group, team or community has a story. This week, your form is invited to tell your story using an anthem of your choice…
Think back over the 2025-2026 academic year….
- What have been your favourite memories?
- What achievements are you most proud of?
- Which moments made you laugh?
- Who helped or inspired you along the way?
- What will your form be remembered for?
Choose the tune of a well-known song, hymn, television theme or tune that means something to your form.
Working together, rewrite the lyrics to tell the story of your form’s year.
Your anthem should celebrate the people, memories and moments that have made this year special.
Once you have rewritten the lyrics to a tune of your choice, make sure to comment them in the comments box or send them down to the chapel to be judged!

Do – Last Day COTW Prep
End of Year Liturgy Prep!
It’s that time of year again! Another school year is drawing to a close and, on Friday 24th July, we will gather together as a school community to celebrate. Our Word of the Week will be Celebration and that’s exactly what we’re going to do!
Our final day together provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all the joys, successes, achievements, memories, friendships and laughter we have shared throughout the year and to give thanks to God for them all.
So let’s bring the positive vibes and make this end of year celebration one to remember!
As is our tradition, every form group is asked to create a reflection for a specific part of this academic year that will be presented in the celebration.
Each form will also be asked to contribute a decoration or offering to our prayer display or the sanctuary for the celebration.

Thank You for all the blessings of this academic year – for our learning, our friendships and the support of our form communities. Thank You for the kindness and encouragement we have shared along the way.
As we look ahead to the weekend, help us to rest, enjoy time with those we love and appreciate the many gifts You have given us.
May we always be grateful for Your presence in our lives.

Celebration is about recognising the good things in our lives and giving thanks for them. As we come towards the end of another school year, we have much to celebrate: friendships, achievements, lessons learned, challenges overcome, and the many ways God has blessed us.
Take out your prayer journals and turn to the “Celebration” page.
Prayer Journal Activity: My Celebration Firework
In the centre of your page, draw a large firework bursting across the sky.
Inside the middle of the firework, write:
“Thank You, God, for this year!”
On each of the firework’s sparks, write or draw something you would like to celebrate from this year.
You could include:
⭐ A friendship that has meant a lot to you
⭐ Something new you learned
⭐ A challenge you overcame
⭐ A moment that made you laugh
⭐ A success you are proud of
⭐ Someone who helped you
⭐ A gift or talent God has given you
⭐ A special memory from school
As you create your firework, think about all the ways God has been present in your life throughout the year and give thanks for it all!
Underneath your drawing, complete one or more of these sentence starters:
